It was a long night….

August 13, 2007

At LAX, there was a major delay. And guess, what, my dad was a part of it. My mom, brother, and I were going to pick my dad up from the airport (he had just come back from a trip to Asia). We got to the airport at about 9 PM, the supposed time that he was going to be let out. We waited and found out that the people coming out of  terminal 3 were the flights that had landed at 4PM, we stood in line, waiting until 11 PM when we decided to go upstairs to eat McDonalds. We went back downstairs at 12 AM and found out that flights from the 5 PM flights were just getting out. Not long after, my mom decided that we should take a nap on the car. So, from 1 AM to 2 AM, we napped. I read. At 2 AM, we started waiting in line again, only to find out that we were waiting at the wrong terminal. Finally, at 3 AM, we found my dad, and after 7 hours of waiting at the airport, went home. I didn’t go to sleep until 5 AM and woke up at 12 PM today–on a Sunday. That was the longest night I’ve had in my life.
