Dream On

September 9, 2007

I think I’ve been in school WAY TOO LONG. You know how you can tell when you’ve been in school too long? You start DREAMING about those teachers that you have. Yesterday night, I had the weirdest dream. This dream was a cross between church and school (the two places I NEVER want to blend together).
I had gotten to church early in the morning and put my Bible on one of the seats and I left to go outside to talk to people. I went back inside as the service was about to start and was going to grab my Bible and find a seat to sit in. I was searching for a seat when I noticed the worship team. Mrs. Free was on the worship team and she was playing piano. I thought I was going crazy and I didn’t want her to see me, so I got on my knees and started crawling along the floor to find my mom and sit next to her so Mrs. Free wouldn’t see me. I found my mom way up in the front row, so I decided against walking up to her. Instead, I tried to escape and made my way through the rows of chairs and people in order to get to the aisle way. Once in the aisle, I made a dash to the door to leave the worship center. On my way outside, I see Mrs. Oberle, passing out bulletins, waving to people as they came in. Right before I woke up, I heard Mrs. Oberle say “Good morning Amanda.” and smile at me.
I woke up, shocked, and thought I never want to have that type of dream again.

I’m Going to Die.

September 5, 2007

I’m going to die and I know it. I woke up feeling really depressed because I had to start school. I got to school and it felt like everyone had gone on a long break and came back from spring break or something. I had the impulse to go directly toward Mr. Oberle’s classroom right after band ended. :P
So, what trouble did I get myself into this year?

0. Band
1. Band
2. AP Bio-Mrs. Oberle
She’s a nice teacher. She’s the “better half” of the Oberles as many people say. I can tell that bio is going to be an intensive read-take notes type of class.

What’s really disheartening to hear is that only 70% of us (AP Physics students) passed last year -___-”

3. AP Spanish- Mrs. Bobbitt
Mrs. Bobbitt’s nice and I know cuz I had her last year, but I’m really scared about the class itself because we have too many native speakers in the class. I go into class thinking I’m alright, but now I’m not so sure. It reminds me of how other people must’ve felt in my Chinese101 class. :P

4. Psychology- Mr. Switzer
This is a pretty interesting class. Half the people in our class our the seniors who want an easy schedule so they take all easy classes, and the other half is the AP-filled class students who take the class because they don’t have a 4th period…

5. AP Government-Mrs. Cavalluzzi
Mrs. Cavalluzzi talks really quickly and is really excited the whole time when she’s talking. She also gives out a lot of information at one time, so if I was to doze off, I’d never  be able to catch up again.and. OMG. This morning, I heard from Irene that we were going to have a quiz in GOVERNMENT, but I never got the paper FOR AP Govt cuz I didn’t plan on taking the class, so I failed the quiz… HORRIBLY. ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, TOO! ARUGH. I hope Econ will bring up my grade on the report card….

6. AP Lit- Mrs. Free
Mrs. Free is the ANTITHESIS of Ms. Stark. She speaks really slowly and quietly. I was almost thankful that I had Stark last year, because Free almost put me to sleep today–and it was the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, TOO!!!

I came home, arms aching, back aching, and with too much homework, and hoping also, that I will be able to bring my government grade up before I am forced to drop the class. :]

Oh Wow.. That’s a First

September 1, 2007

I was on the Revolution website checking out my score for my first practice test, and I noticed that I got a 590 on math. -__-” it’s REALLY low compared to how I normally score. I haven’t gotten lower than a 650 on other practice tests. But what REALLY surprised me was that I got a 12 on my essay. Hrmph. Why couldn’t I get a 12 on the real one? *sigh* I thought I was stagnant at an 8 on my essay scores… so, I dunno now. Haha. Maybe I should read more, that would bring up my score in critical reading AND writing. :D
