Becoming Foggy.. Everything. : (
August 11, 2011
I was looking through Lynn’s blog earlier, and am thankful for her consistent blogging, because some SLI summer memories are becoming foggy in my memory. I haven’t been blogging or journaling much, simply because by the time nighttime comes around, it’s time for bed. Not to mention all the smog/pollution outside that made my allergies act up (and need we mention diarrhea?)
This week has been quite an adventure:
Sunday-Walked around… everywhere trying to find the Cathedral. I had breakfast at the hostel and went separately from Lynn and Margie. I got back and found out that neither of them two made it to the Cathedral either. The subway system was a confusing map of… confusingness? Ahaha.
Monday-Chillaxed at the hostel. Really. I finished Dear John on Monday. Next book on the list? Sophie’s World.
Tuesday-Tuesday was the dumpling party! It was pretty awesome because at night it began to rain, so nighttime was the perfect time to make dumplings/aaaandd, we were all in the mood for eating dumplings! : )
Wednesday-Went with Margie to her harp lesson! Her harp teacher here is a 19 year old konghou player and is the best of the students at the Central Conservatory. Makes me miss having flute lessons. : ( Lunch was awesome. We ate at this western coffee shop-ish place. : ) After Margie’s harp lesson, we decided to eat dinner super early. So we ended up going to “Mr Kong’s Noodle Shop” or something along those lines. We took a detour after dinner and went to explore around the Houhai area.
Today-Went bike riding! I finally know the difference between Houhai and Xihai. Took me long enough. =.= I guess that’s what I get for not exploring enough…I made it to Jinshan Park… and got lost. Ahh… oh well. I’ll make it to the forbidden city one day…
On the agenda for tomorrow? Swimming! Margie has another harp lesson tomorrow, so Lynn and I are planning to do some good ol’ swimming while she’s there. Oh, and just to let ya know, this milk oatmeal from WuMart is AMAAAZZZIINNGGG. I’m *almost* finished with a packet. :O (1 packet=10 packets) Hmmm.
